(Dec. 16, 2011)—Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks has teamed with radio theater troupe Every Now and Then Theatre to present “Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story” as a Golden Era of radio broadcast, complete with live sound effects, period commercials and spontaneous audience reaction and applause.
The show will be performed live at 8 p.m. Sat., Dec. 17 and Fri., Dec. 23 at the Conejo Players Theatre, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. These performances will be recorded for future broadcast on a local radio station.
The show, which is suitable for children, benefits Ventura County’s foster children and the theater.
The production is directed by Linda Stiegler of Thousand Oaks, co-director and casting coordinator for Every Now and Then Theatre’s broadcasts since 1993 and also president of Conejo Players Theatre.
Cast members are Dale Alpert, Bob Allen, Rosemary Bird, Abby Collins, Bob Decker, Doug Dickerson, Jim Diderrich, Judy Diderrich, Ken Endress, Corey Fogelmanis, Damian Gravino, Kelly Green, Keith Hurt, Alex Mastrovito, Ray Mastrovito, Linda Schaver, Rick Steinberg, Linda Stiegler, Jessica Williams, Sebastian Williams, James Wortman and Cynthia Zipser.
The crew are Jeff Calnitz, Karen Graham-Hanna, Rich Grossman, Eve Kiefer, David Tuomi and the cast.
Every Now and Then Theatre radio dramas have won 29 international and national awards since 2003.
