On Sunday, July 31, the Meadowlark Service League will hold its 24th annual A Taste of
Camarillo Wine and Food Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. on the lawns of the historic Adolfo Camarillo Ranch House at 201 Camarillo Ranch Road, Camarillo. Proceeds will benefit Camarillo and greater Ventura County charities.
Guests will be able to sample fine wines and beers, as well as tantalizing food from a wide variety of participating wineries, breweries and restaurants. Enjoy an afternoon featuring live entertainment from the Tempo Cats and the Jack Diamond Band, an opportunity drawing, silent auction and boutique shopping. Every ticket purchased will include a coupon for a $40 credit to the California Wine Club.
The Official Wine Sponsor for 2011 is Don Sebastiani & Sons, a negociant-style winery located in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Family owned and run, this winery provides upscale, but moderately priced varietals. Named the “American Winery of the Year” in 2005 by the Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Don and Sons delivers a consistent quality and value to consumers.
On July 30 there will be a pre-event Wine Auction Gala and Dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. at Camarillo Ranch. This popular event includes live and silent auctions of fine and rare wines and other enticing items, special wines for your enjoyment, plus a gourmet buffet dinner and live music provided by The Big Little Jazz Band. Advance reservations are required because seating is limited.
Meadowlark Service League is a non-profit organization of women dedicated to raising funds for a variety of local charitable organizations and programs that provide services to meet the needs of Camarillo and the greater Ventura County area.
Tickets for A Taste of Camarillo are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. Tickets for the Wine Auction Gala and Dinner are $70. A weekend pass for both events is $135.
