Foundation to host Rock and Roll Charity Benefit Concert

The Get Together Foundation will host its annual “Hope Concert” on July 3rd at 6 pm at the Sagebrush Cantina. All proceeds generated by event tickets and raffle sales will be entirely donated to CATS at Northridge Hospital and Music to Heal, an organization dedicated to providing musical therapy to hospital facilities and health clinics.

Come out and celebrate two great causes and enjoy live music featuring four live bands. Headlining the event will be “Pacific,” a band that has played locally in the San Fernando Valley for more than 30 years. Your favorite rock classics will also be performed by “Assume It’s Flattery,” “Siddhartha,” and the upbeat ska band “Say I’m Sick.” Tickets are $10 at the door and VIP packages are $25 and $50.

CATS at Northridge hospital is the only facility in Los Angeles County and Santa Clarita to provide a 24 hour, 7-days a week program for victims of sexual assault and abuse. CATS is dedicated to children and adults affected by violence and represents the first step on a road to recovery. CATS works with sexual assault survivors of all ages and provides not only clinical treatment and counseling services, but also seeks to promote awareness and prevention.

Music to Heal’s efforts are centered on the premise that the musical experience (active learning, creating, sharing, or simply listening) can be used to improve the relative health of patients in clinics. Music to Heal provides noiseless instruments to patients and volunteer music instructors to foster creative expression, particularly for children undergoing treatment for chronic illnesses.

The Get Together foundation is the creation of the Wachs family, founders of Earthly Body, an internationally distributed skin care company of Chatsworth, California. The foundation was created in response to the tragedies of September 11th, with hopes of confronting the varied needs of the community. The mission of the Get Together Foundation is to act as a nonprofit bridge between the donator and the intended cause. The Get Together Foundation uses a system that allows 100% of the contributions to go to a designated cause, no exceptions.
