The Newbury Park High School Choral Music Department will hold its annual Year-End Concerts on Thursday, May 26th and Friday, May 27th 7:00 pm in the Newbury Park High School Performing Arts Center located at 456 Reino Rd. in Newbury Park. The concert will feature a wide variety of choral and solo numbers representing the work of several artists and musical styles sung by the award-winning Newbury Park Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble and the Panther Chamber Singers under the direction of Mr. John Sargent.
The Newbury Park High School Concert Choir and The Panther Chamber Singers have consistently been awarded top honors and have earned Gold status ratings at choral festivals in the Los Angeles area and elsewhere in the United States. Most recently these talented singers won top ratings at the 2011 Heritage Festival in New York City, including First Place Gold awards for both Concert Choir and Chamber Singers and a Silver award for the new Women’s Ensemble. The Year-End Concert is the last in a series of public concerts offered over the school year.
The Concerts are open to the public and tickets can be purchased for a donation of $10.00 each. All proceeds for the concert benefit the Choral Music Department activities. Tickets can be purchased from any Newbury Park High School Choir member or they may be purchased at the Newbury Park High School Performing Arts Center Box Office the evening of the concert.
