Register now for SOAR’s Annual 5K Run/3K Walk Through the Orchards! The run will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m., on Sunday, October 17 at the Tierra Rejada Ranch in Moorpark. Runners, walkers, families with kids, and volunteers are all welcome.
The Save Open-Space & Agricultural Resources Run Through the Orchards is a certified 5K run. The all-trails course winds through scenic walnut, avocado, and orange groves.
There are eight age categories from under-13 through over-70. Race prizes and medals will be awarded. For walkers, in a healthy stroll as you wind your way alongside the crops of the Tierra Rejada Ranch. Bring your friends and leave the city behind. And the best part is, it’s all for a great cause: preserving these greenbelt lands between our cities for future generations to enjoy.
The event is introducing a special tyke-track for kids that will help them to learn and understand how fruits and vegetables get on their plates. The crops include corn, peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins, and more. Strollers are welcome.
Our 5K Run is entirely volunteer-driven and we welcome helping hands of all ages. Join our 30+ crew of fantastic volunteers for a fun morning in a beautiful setting, and help make Ventura County a better place to live by supporting SOAR.
