St. Jude’s is celebrating their annual fundraising event, the Country Time Faire September 25 and 26.
Enjoy the music and entertainment, the food, and browse the Market Place Boutique in the hospitality patio. There will be carnival rides and games for the kids of all ages. New last year, and returning by popular demand, is our “Gamblin’ Hall” on the Parish Hall patio, all decked out in the turn-of-the-century décor and offering craps and blackjack.
If the weather is warm, faire goers can cool off in the parish hall where they can browse the huge Book Sale, check out the specialty vendors, play Bingo, and rest a while at the Sweet Shop, before returning outside to all the excitement. Food offerings include Latino Kid Mexican food, Lamppost Pizza, Burgers and Dogs, hot and cold snacks, cotton candy and snow cones, and soft and not-so-soft drinks in the Budweiser Beer Garden.
A special feature of the Faire is the live music and entertainment on the Midway Stage. In addition to Rhythm Method and Playback, it will be Joe Turgeon’s Band on Saturday night.
The hours of operation are Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pre-sale ride tickets are available in the Parish Office through Friday for a remarkable savings on the carnival rides. Extra parking will be permitted by the City on the area streets (except where marked No Parking). Free Admission. Information is available by calling the Pastoral Office at 818-889-1279.
