Chamber to host City Council candidates’ forum

The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its city of Thousand Oaks Candidate Forum on October 5 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Forum will be held at Los Robles Greens Banquet Center at 299 South Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. The event is free and open to the public.

A General Municipal Election shall be held on November 2 to elect three members of the City Council for the city of Thousand Oaks for the full term of four years. The council candidates are Michael Wurtzel; Dennis C. Gillette; Geoffrey Bride; Deborah B. Birenbaum; Claudia Bill-de la Pena; Ernest J. LeGault; Andy Fox; Todd Press; Brandon Millan; Billy Martin; Frank Akrey; Al Adam and Thomas Scott Adams.

Each candidate will be given two minutes to make an introductory statement and three minutes to make a closing statement. Each candidate will be asked to respond to a series of questions prepared by the chamber. These questions will be randomly selected and the same question will not be asked consecutively. Responses will be limited to two minutes. There will be no questions accepted from the audience.
