The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library will sponsor a Used Book Sale on Friday, October 1 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 2 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Newbury Park Branch Library. There will be an “early bird sale” for members of the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library preceding the regular book sale hours Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Thousands of books will be available, priced at 50¢ for children’s books and paperbacks, and $1.00 for hardbacks, including a large selection of holiday books. Proceeds are used to fund library programs such as the Summer Reading Club for children and teens, and the Courtyard Serenades, as well as purchase books on CD, rental books, and other library materials. This sale will feature pre-packaged grab bags of various genres of paperbacks for $1.00.
Please consider going through your own book collection and donating anything you don’t think you’ll read again. You’ll be cleaning house and supporting your local library! Book donations are accepted throughout the year, and used books are on sale daily, at both the Grant R. Brimhall Library in Thousand Oaks and the Newbury Park Branch Library.
The Newbury Park Branch Library is located at 2331 Borchard Rd. Admission to the sale and parking are free. For more information, contact Geri Trail at (805) 480-9737 or visit the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library website at www.ftol.org.
