The Ventura County Gilbert & Sullivan Repertoire Company’s 2010-2011 Season will open in October with “The Sorcerer” followed by “H.M.S. Pinafore” in March 2011.
The company will have auditions by appointment only from 1 to 5:45 p.m. Sat. July 10 at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. Callbacks by invitation only will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sat., July 17.
Auditioners should bring music in the correct key; no recorded accompaniment. Wear appropriate clothing and bring a resume and headshot if available.
“The Sorcerer” has five male principal roles and four female principal roles, age ranges 18 to 60. “H.M.S. Pinafore” has six male principal roles and three female principal roles (age ranges 20 to 60), plus a cabin boy/girl age 8 to 12.
Ensemble ages range from 16- to-60-range for both operettas. All ethnicities are welcome.
Rehearsals begin Aug. 23 for “The Sorcerer” and Jan. 24 for “H.M.S. Pinafore.”
