The Actors and Singers Studio of Thousand Oaks will show love for homeless pets and the Beatles during a fundraiser tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at the Muvico Theaters multiplex at the Oaks Mall. The event is to help fund services at the Camarillo Animal Shelter.

There will be a silent auction beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The “All You Need is Love” concert and charity fundraiser will be a celebration of the songs of the Beatles, performed by members of the Actors and Singers Studio of Thousand Oaks. Members range in age from children and teens to adults.

Maripat Davis, co-founder of the Actors and Singers Studio, said the proceeds will go to the Peppy Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing pets from the Camarillo shelter. Donations are tax deductible. Tickets cost $10 and will be available at the door.

Davis raises money to help get animals out of shelters as well as recruiting and coordinating volunteers to help with adoption events, animal transports, fundraising, and finding “foster families” who are willing to open their hearts and homes to a dog or cat for a short time.

Davis is a professional singer and actress who has opened for well-known performers including Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton and John Denver. She co-founded the Actors and Singers Studio with her late father, actor Charles Davis, who died in December at the age of 84.

The Muvico Theaters complex is at 166 W. Hillcrest Drive. Information about the event may be requested from the Actors and Singers Studio by calling 805-376-9002.
